Ogbono Soup Ingredients

- Blended Ogbono
- Chicken or beef stock
- Ugwu leaf (washed and sliced)
- Crayfish
- Locust beans
- Palm oil
- Salt & seasonings
- Fresh pepper (blended)
- Any protein of your choice (I'd be making use of beef and mackerel fish in this recipe)
- Okra (washed and sliced)
How to cook okra Ogbono Soup
So, basically this is the ogbono soup preparation process, with the inclusion of okra, but you can skip the okra if you wish.
* Season the meat using some seasoning cubes, salt and blended pepper. Let it cook for 15mins after which, add some water and let it cook until it's soft.
* Add the blended cray fish, locust beans, stir and let it cook for 5min.
* Dissolve the blended ogbono with some palm oil, mix properly and add into the pot. Stir and let it cook for 10mins.
* Add the sliced okra into the pot and stir.
* De-bone the smoked mackerel fish, cut into smaller sizes and add to into the pot. Stir, taste for salt, seasoning cubes and pepper and add if necessary. Let it cook for 5mins.
* Add some sliced ugwu and stir. Allow to simmer for 3mins
