- When picking on the vegetables you'll need to select the pepper you'll be using. Since the recipe is based on the Nigerian chicken stew, you're required to select red bell peppers (also known as rodo) and also some tomatoes. Onions or garlic are also recommended.

- Make sure you pick a reasonable amount of these peppers and make sure the tomatoes us more than the red bell pepper, to avoid making a sauce you can't eat.

Now let's get to the fun parts.

How to prepare Nigerian chicken stew

Step 1
Prepare your chicken

Wash your chicken and place them in the pot.
Sprinkle a reasonable amount of salt on it, add maggie, curry and thyme, and other seasonings you may prefer, and dice your onions in it.
Add some quantities of water and boil it for some minutes.

Step 2
Prepare your pepper

Wash and combine your pepper in a blender
Add your onions (or garlic) and blend

Step 3
Prepare the stew

Now it's time for the main deal - preparing our delicious homemade chicken stew.

  • First, place your pot on the fire and add your cooking oil.
  • Dice your onions in the pot (I prefer ring-size onions)
  • Pour in your blended pepper and stir a little. Cover the pot afterward for a few minutes and let it cool.
  • Afterward, add your locust beans, and pour in desirable the water used in boiling your chicken ( this will give your stew the perfect taste) but be careful not to add too much.
  • Pour in your chicken and let it cook.
  • After that go over to your hot pot of stew and inhale the delicious dish you have cooked.
You may decide to add any vegetables of your choice to spice things up.
