Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of pineapple
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 4 tbsp barbecue sauce
How to make Hawaiian chicken sandwich
- Preheat your oven to 375°
- In a bowl, combine your eggs and milk, and beat together
- In a second bowl, mix together your flour, black pepper, salt, garlic powder Onion powder and paprika.
- In a third bowl,pour in the panko bread crumbs and set three bowls aside.
- Prepare the chicken breast by pounding them with a meat mallet. This step is done to even the thickness.
- Now, dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, then into the egg and milk bowl, and lastly into the bread crumb.
- Put your cooking oil over medium heat and fry your chicken breast for about 3 minutes on each sides until it starts to get crispy.
- Afterwards place them on a baking foil, and bake for another 10-15 minutes, so as to allow it cook well on the inside.
- Bring out the chicken and get your buns ready. Place a piece of chicken breast on the base of the buns each, then add a slice of cheese, a slice of pineapple, lettuce.
- Gently spread your mayonnaise over the lettuce and add your barbecue sauce on to of it. Place the other half of the buns over it, and serve.
