It's about time again, for one of my favorite smoothie recipes, the delicious, healthy and nutritious strawberry mango smoothie.
When you hear the word strawberry, I'm sure the next thing that comes to your mind is a big glass of tasty smoothie to nourish your stomach.

This strawberry mango juice recipe I'm about to share with you is not so different from my other smoothie recipes, but I'm sure this one will give you the best tropical feeling.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or other sweetener (optional)

How to make strawberry mango smoothie

Below is the easiest way to make yourself a nice glass of this strawberry mango juice.

  1. Wash the strawberries to get rid of germs(you must've removed the stems before)
  2. Peel the mango and sice it into chunks
  3. Combine the strawberry and mango into the blender, and blend until it's smooth. Add the honey and blend again.
  4. If the mixture is too thick, feel free to add some quantity of water to achieve your desired consistency.

Tip:
- You may decide to add coconut milk into your mixture instead of water. Either ways is fine.
- You can add ice to the blender when blending to make the juice more colder and refreshing.

Are you thinking of adding veggies to this strawberry mango smoothie? If yes, the first veggie that should come to your mind should be carrots.
Carrots are natural vegetables which are filled with much nutrients and fibres.

The second should be oranges. Infact let me use this opportunity to teach you a simple strawberry mango orange smoothie recipe.
This recipe looks like the afore mentioned, but with a little twist - the oranges.
Oranges are citrus fruits, so we need to be careful on how we use them, adding too much will make the smoothie more citrusy, and can also bury the strawberry and mango taste.

One more ingredients I'd be using in this juice recipe is honey, which will serve as a sweeter(it's optional and can be skipped)

  1. Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Peel the mango and cut it into chunks.
  2. Peel the orange and segment it, removing any seeds or white pith.
  3. Put the strawberries, mango chunks, and orange segments into a blender.
  4. Add the water and honey (if using) to the blender.
  5. Blend the mixture until it is smooth.
  6. If the mixture is too thick, you can add more water to achieve your desired consistency.
  7. Pour the juice into a glass and serve immediately.
There you have it, my two in one smoothie recipe.

How to make my smoothie thick
Below are three ways to make your smoothie thick:
  • Use frozen fruits:  The use of frozen fruits is one of the easiest ways to make smoothies thick. This is why the use of frozen fruits are always advices when making smoothies that fresh fruits.
  • Add Greek yogurt: Although yogurt aren't really needed for smoothies, but these yogurt are a good source of protein and creaminess, and they also serve as good smoothie thickening agent.
  • Ice Cubes. If you’ve blended your smoothie and it’s thinner than you would like, add a few ice cubes until it reaches your desired thickness.
